The United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS)

The United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS) is an interagency programme of the UN system that facilitates dialogue and fosters cooperation between the UN system and the NGO community worldwide on global development issues. NGLS has offices in Geneva and New York.

The work of NGLS is currently supported by:

· United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UN/DESA - Lead Agency)

· United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD - Administering Agency)

· Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

· International Agency for Atomic Energy (IAEA)

· International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)

· International Labour Office (ILO)

· Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS)

· Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
