Acknowledgments

Much of the material in this guide book, has been borrowed or adapted from existing materials. We would like to thank the many people who contributed directly to the guidebook and the three Regional Training Officers, Barbara Gardner, Kate Raftery, and Bob Taylor, who spent many hours reviewing and critiquing it.

A special thanks to John Mongeon for his article on Integration; to Jan Elster and Dick Vittatow for their material on tips for trainers, and to Dick Haag for his material on program evaluation.

In addition we would like to thank the participants of the Training of Managers Workshop in Benin who provided valuable information and recommendations on the formatting of the guidebook.

Specific materials were adapted from the training manuals from the Solomon Islands, Honduras, Micronesia and the Training of Trainers Model developed by RTRO.
