Subject [greenstone-users] Image converter & xml plug-in issue when upgrading collection to a new ver. of GS
Hello all,

I am trying to move a collection from Greenstone 2.?(circa 2004) to 2.81 on a remote server using the command line import/build process.

I copied the import files from the old collection to the new collection's import folder. When I ran import.pl -removeold collection_name I got the following output:

ImageConverter: Image conversion not available ( Image Magick not installed)
WARNING: No plugin could recognise chop001.xml.
(A lot more warnings about the no plugin here...)
WARNING: No plugin could recognise chop002.xml
WARNING: No plugin could recognise chop462.xml
*********************************************
Import complete
*********************************************
* 450 documents were considered for processing
* 0 were processed and included in the collection
* 450 were unrecognised

I know Image Magick is on the remote server at /user/local/bin/

Questions:
1. How do I let Greenstone know where to look to find Image Magick? What file should I edit, and with what command?

2. Can I guess correctly that fixing the Image Magick issue will not likely fix the "No plugin could recognise" issue? Could anyone suggest what plugin might be required?

Thank you in advance!

Cheers, Paul B
