When you start up the library server application (which acts
as a web server), it tries to start up your browser with the
address of your machine. It tries to guess your machine's
name based on its network settings, but sometimes this
information isn't quite right.
This happens on the windows machine next to me - it guesses
the wrong domain name (eg scms.waikato.ac.nz instead of
cs.waikato.ac.nz) because of the how the machine's network
information is set up. :(

Once the greenstone server program is running, you could
try typing the URL http://127.0.0.1 into your web
browser manually - if the server is running correctly then
that address should work (with either Internet Explorer
or Netscape/Mozilla).

If that doesn't help, you might have to be more specific
about the error message you received.
