Subject | [greenstone-users] The PWS and IIS webservers and Greenstone 2.53 |
I'm using Greenstone
(version 2.53, web library) on a PC running Windows XP Pro and IIS version 5.1.
May I make a remark.
On the page
No-27 of Installer Guide (Install-en.pdf) you are suggesting that the following
options shouldbe set:
2.
Select Home and click Add. Fill out the fields as follows:
Directory field: C:Program Filesgsdl
Alias
field: gsdl
Access permissions: Read
Application permissions: None - Has to be Execute. Otherwise IE will ask to save or to run
the file Library.exe
Click
OK
This
makes Greenstone files accessible to the webserver.
3. Back in Advanced Options, select gsdl and click Add. Fill out the fields as follows:
Directory field: C:Program Filesgsdlcgi-bin
Alias
field: cgi-bin
Access permissions: None
Application permissions: Execute - Can be set to Non
Click
OK
This
allows the Greenstone program library.exe to be executed by the webserver.
