Hi,
I have a similar problem as Axel Schild has described. I want to rebuild my
collection after I've made some minor changes related to how GS output would
look (not add or change any document files in the collection). It seems that
GS re-imports all my document files again and again and it takes a lot of
time. In Expert mode I've been trying 3 different modes (build index,
compress text and info) without any success.

And refers to Axel Schild's previous letter about PDF files that may not be
conformant, I would like to make a remark: I've faced with similar problem
many time and you can imagine how frustrated one can be during the building
process of a big collection when it takes days to build.

I did a thorough check in the mailing archive but there are no solution. One
can see that's the problem of the pdftohtml converter. My question is: are
there any standards of PDF files that GS requires for building successfully
or are there any tools for checking files before building a collection?
