Yea, u r right, i could have given more information abt my problem.

Well here im giving the information which r needed to solve my problem.

Operating System : Windows 2000 professional.

I tried to build text files.

The data is in many small files. (from 1k to 5 or 6k)

I donn understand this one.....hope u r asking abt the command that i
used to build the files.

perl -S import.pl

> (5) the last line that appears on the screen before it hangs

as soon as i enter the above command it starts importing the files and
finaly hangs after 5 hours (for 100 mb)

i waited more than half an hour. In browser it dint show me the building
status.
