Hi Haik,

For the users you created, did you specify their "group settings"? See
the section "Authentication" on the page

If you had already specified what collections your various users will be
allowed to edit, and you still weren't successfully connecting to your
Greenstone server from the client using a user's authentication details,
then try using the Greenstone Administration pages to once more edit the
details of your users. This time, set their group settings to
"all-collections-editor". Once more, use the client-GLI to connect to
your remote Greenstone server under one of those users' accounts.

Finally, if that makes no difference, open up a browser (while your
Greenstone server is still running) and visit
your Greenstone home URL concatenated to:

E.g. assuming your server runs on localhost port 8282, you would point
your browser to:

When you visit the above, are there any clearer and more detailed error
messages this time? If so, can you mail us these?
