Hi Noam,
The GLI outputs
"An error has accrued which will prevent the collection being previewed"
When it fails to replace the previous built collection on disk with the new built collection on disk.
Perhaps you have some kind of permission problem?
Richard.

Hi , I write you from the University of Oviedo(SPAIN) After installing the GLI client for remote building collections, I said Richard that al was ok.. Not true.
When I run the client-gli.bat file the program asks for the Greenstone library and gliserver URLs(http://:/gsdl/cgi-bin/library (library.exe if the server is Windows) and
http://:/gsdl/cgi-bin/gliserver.pl, respectively. )
(The port is 80 in both cases.(Apache conf file is with 'listen 80')
From the admin page, I add a new user(with a password x and into the adminstrator group and another into the colbuilder group). In both cases, when I try to build a new collection after running the client-gli.bat flie, it asks for the user and password. I write the user and password and the next window error:
An error has ocurred on the remote Greenstone server while performing this operation Authentication failed: user is not in the required group
Any help???????? Tanks in advance.......

The United
Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has produced an excellent self-instructional module on "Digitization and Digital Libraries", which includes a unit on Greenstone. It has recently been made available on-line. If you're interested, go to
http://www.imarkgroup.org/
You must register as a user to access the module. The procedure is very simple. Once you have registered,
log in select new module Digitization and Digital Libraries: start module Go to Unit 6, Lesson 6.1, Greenstone tutorial, to start directly in to the Greenstone material The other units are very interesting too!
The module is currently available in English only. Spanish is coming soon,French is scheduled for Summer 2006 and Arabic for Summer 2007.
cheers ian
