The administration part of Greenstone is described very briefly in the
Greenstone User's Guide (section 4.3). You create/edit user accounts via
the "Administration Page" on the Greenstone home page.

I can't reproduce this problem -- perhaps you're trying to edit the
collect.cfg file with the Greenstone Librarian Interface open?

Groups aren't created as such, you just enter the group names when
editing user accounts. I think if you create a "demo" user (via the
"Administration Page" mentioned above) with groups "demo" then you'll be
able to access the collection successfully.
