I suspect you are using GLI from a greenstone installation on your
GLI builds collections in its own greenstone installation. You can't
just change the preferences to get it to build them elsewhere.
Check the collect directory of your windows greenstone, your new
collection will probably be there.
You can then copy the collection's folder onto the linux server, and it
will be available to greenstone there.
If you want to build collections on the server remotely, you can either
use the GLI applet or you can use a standalone GLI client, see
