What distribution of greenstone are you using? the src one or the linux
You need to install greenstone first, then to recompile, you run
configure in the top level greenstone directory.

There's some information at
which may or may not be helpful.

You could try building it using your existing yaz. I haven't tried this
so don't know if it'll work or not.
You'll need to edit
src/recpt/Makefile(.in) and src/colservr/Makefile(.in) and change all
the yaz paths (lots of them).
