Hi

I haven't used index.txt (I use metadata.xml files), but from a quick
look at the code, it looks like you can do multivalued metadata.

I would try putting the first value for each metadata in the standard
place, then any additional values at the end of the line using <metadata
name>value.

e.g. something like the following

key: Title Subject Author
"snails are good" "snail farming" "Joe Bloggs"
"The life of a cat" "cats" "Jane Smith" <Subject>kittens "<Subject>life
of cats"

The second entry has three subjects.
