Hi Angela,

You'll need to alter your "classify" line to use something like "-buttonname
Description" (or whatever you choose to call your new button), then rebuild
the colection. You'll then need to create the gif images for the button and
put them in your images directory. Finally, you'll need to edit your macro
files (mostly and I think) to specify the HTML for
displaying the new button. You'll need to add several new macro definitions,
search through the files for the existing button macros (e.g. search for
"Title" or "Creator") to see what you need to add.

You might also try searching old mailing list posts as this issue has been
discussed before. Go to, select the "Greenstone
archives" collection, then search for "navigation button".
