After reading the PaingThu Chit e-mail I get the following idea:
Will be nice to have soap interfaces for:
a) search (mg/mgpp/lucene),
b) browse (classifiers),
c) view (documents),
d) collection (collection(s) info).

This will help programmers from other languages to access the greenstone
collections without changing the greenstone code or macros.

Hope that you will put this on your TODO list for the next versions.
