Is there a way to put selected preferences on the Search page so that the
users do not need to go to the preferences page to choose an option?

We want to put two pref options on the Search page below the Search box:

1. Word ending
2. Return up to xxx hits with xxx hits per page.

I tried to put some pref micros in the Query package but did not work. Any
ideas?
