the PDF plugin should "work" with any pdf file, regardless of what
program produced it. Whether there is any extractable text within that
PDF file is another matter. When you use Acrobat with a scanner, it is
only creating images of the text. The pdftohtml converter can't
extract text from images. I know that some versions of Acrobat
actually do some Optical Character Recognition when you scan in
documents, and this text can be extracted, although it normally has
quite a few spelling errors.
