Hi Rich

You can change the default in gsdl/etc/main.cfg - add a line like
cgiarg shortname=fqn argdefault=3

with ardefault=how many fields you want.

To change the options you get on the preferences page, you can edit
gsdl/macros/ look for the bit like the following and change the
numbers to what you want.

_formnumfieldoption_ {<td></td><td>_textwith_
<select name="fqn" onChange="updatefqn();">
<option value="2"selected>2
<option value="4"selected>4
<option value="6"selected>6
<option value="8"selected>8
