Subject [greenstone-users] partition indexes gives strange errors

Hi all,
trying to create useful browsing classifications based on a few popular
keywords found in dc.subjects. although the dc.subjects might have 10 or 20
keywords listed, I want to filter out the ones that say america, canada,
england etc... and use those keywords to structure document searching and

when i had two partition indexes listed i got a very strange error - when
previewed it said that the file had been created several thousand days ago,
and that there were zero documents in the collection.

i removed one of the partitions and now the preview loads up, however the
only thing i can search is the subcollection, and the search button doesn't
seem to work. none of the search indexes predefined in the GLI appear, only

Any suggestions or workaround ideas? fwiw using gsdl 2.72

Aloha ya'll
