Dear Chetty

It was better to post this message at greenstone-users@list.scms.waikato.ac.nz because greenstone3@list.scms.waikato.ac.nz is dedicated for version 3 of GSDL.
Anyway, when you copy Collect folder from one machine to an-other, all the data as well as indexes are also copied to new machine.  But if you have changed the look and feel of your collection by changing css, macros, images, etc, you have to replace old gsdl/images folder, gsdl/macros folder and gsdl/etc folder as well at new location.

Hope answer the question

Dear All
I am in the process of experimenting with Greenstone version 2. I have a question. I have installed greenstone on two Pcs and wish to build it on one machine by adding to it from different Pcs.
If I copy the "collect " folder onto the other Pc will all my files be carried across to the new environment with appropriate indexes etc. Will it be fully operational or Do I need to transfer any other files etc, etc, etc from the old environment
