We are hosting 12,895 images w/ metadata on our server. Our largest
collection has 11,181 items. Seems to do just fine. :D

Hi Cristian,

The short answer is that we are working hard to remove any limitation=

the number of documents which can be stored in a greenstone collectio=
and with good success; the "Archivo Digital" collection has a whoppin=
17,655 documents indexed.

The main limitation seems to be on the amount of text information=
(measured in bytes) rather than the number of documents. See this wik=
page for details:
Are_there_any_limits_to_the_size of collections.3F

If you have problems with building large collections, the mailing-lis=
archives might be a good place to search for answers - many=20
large-collection issues have been encountered and solved on the=20

Hope this helps.

Saludos Cordiales,
Oran Fry.
