Hi Renate,

I just started a download of Greenstone2.74 for linux from sourceforge.
It seems to be ticking away just fine - it's been about a minute and I'm
up to 2%. (Actually that's a lot slower than I usually get but I'll
assume for now that the two problems aren't related). I suggest you try
a different mirror and see if that helps. Sourceforge has selected the ( Bern, Switzerland - Europe ) mirror for my
download, so you could fall back on that if other mirrors closer to you
don't work. Failing that, write back and we will try to offer more advice.
