This should be fixed in 2.72 - I have not checked - but I'd be surprised if it wasn't.
BTW - Is there a reason why you have not moved to the new version?

If you can't change version (or if that doesn't work) - I'd do as Katherine suggests (see her original response below),

BTW The greestone developers are all on holidays for the next few days so you are unlikely to get a response soon.

Hi Stephen

It appears that this is a bug when there is only one index specified. If you
have more than one, then you get a drop down list, and the text is correct.

I will look into this.
In the meantime, you should change your indexes. allfields is a combined
index all **specified** indexes, not all metadata fields in the collection.
so if you have
indexes allfields
you haven't actually indexed anything, you just have combined searching over
no fields.

If you want all your metadata to be indexed, use the "Add All" button in GLI
New index popup.
