Has anyone been successful
in installing the Greenstone software on a machine running Windows 2003 Server?
I have installed the
software, followed the instructions in the FAQ on using/configuring web library
with IIS. I cannot get library.exe in the gsdl/cgi-bin/ folder to work in order
to build the site through the internet or the server. It returns a
404--File not Found error.
I can view the contents of
the gsdl folder through the web, as well as the contents of the cgi-bin folder
(am I supposed to?). My main site is at http://newbern.cpclib.org/, and I
want the digital library in the gsdl folder. We already have a digital history
exhibit that I would like to try with the Greenstone software so it can be
searched by subjects, authors, etc.
