I'm having this problem also, but I've already created a user, and added
it to the group remote-superuser.

But I still can't create or open any collections when I try to log in as
this user.

Hi,

You need to create some user accounts for remote building, as described
in the "Authentication" section of
http://www.cs.waikato.ac.nz/~mdewsnip/greenstone/west-yorkshire/remote-g
reenstone.html.
The default admin user is not set up for remote building.
