I've just installed version 2.60 on linux, and I'm trying to use the GLI as
an applet. I compiled and installed GLI per the instructions, and it will
launch and run, but I can't build a collection. Running GLI in expert mode,
I get a pop up message saying that there was an error and the collection
can't be built.

The greenstone error log has only the following line:

Warning: couldn't read build.cfg file for collection "jon-testcoll",
gsdlhome="/home/library/gsdl"

The folder for the collection was created in the collect directory, but
there is no .col file, or build.cfg for that matter.

Any solutions or suggestions as to how to proceed with debugging would be
greatly appreciated.
