Dear Richard,
Thanks for your advise. Actually, I have already thought on the first method with static external html front pages. The second one is more integrated to Greenstone environment. I'll try. Thanks, Gloria ________________________________ From: greenstone-users-bounces@list.scms.waikato.ac.nz on behalf of Richard Managh
Here are two possible ways to achieve what you want: Method one:
You could: 1. Add the two collections to your greenstone installation just as you added the last ones. 2. Create two static html (I mean 2 html files served from your web server, rather than dynamic html generated by the greenstone software) pages, by simply saving your current front page as an html file from your browser twice, as separate files. These html pages would look like your current front page, but you could edit the html and remove some of the links from each one, so that one file would include just the links to your first set of collections, and the other file would include links to the other set of collections. In addition, you could further edit each page, so that they each have a different look and feel, specific to your different set of collections. 3. You would need to make these static html files available on your web server somewhere. You could in addition set up different domains(something like www.yoursite.org <http://www.yoursite.org/> ) to point to your static html pages on your web server, although this last sentence is optional. Method two:
package home2
oopsThe requested page could not be found. Please use your browsers 'back' button or the above home button to return to the Greenstone Digital Library. { your content html and macros}
http://url-to-your-greenstone-cgi/cgi-bin/library?a=p&p=home2 which is in the macro language something like:: /cgi-bin/library?a=p&p=home2
Good luck, Richard. --
I created a library with 6 collections. Its is working ok. Now I want to create another different library with 2 collections and a different front page. So the questions is: Is it possible under the same installation of Greenstone to have more than one library, each one with its own front page and set of collections? Can I have more than one "home.dm"?
