I have 2 questions.
1. I have images of handwritten correspondence with transcription (Word)
that I would like to include in the GSDL. I would like to have both the
transcription and image of the letters available from the same artifact.
Could you provide suggestions on the best way to do this?
2. I would like to create an online form/template for qualified Dublin Core
metadata. That way, the person entering the data can access online thesauri
such as MESH or TGM directly from the form. Something like the Nordic
Dublin Core metadata template (http://www.lub.lu.se/cgi-bin/nmdc.pl). Is
there a way to export or map information from a template like this to the
GSDL metadata form?
I am definitely not a techie but need to be able to speak with our IT
librarian and IT support about what I need.
I look forward to hearing your responses.
Enjoy today! Mary

Sorry Paul, It is hard to tell what you are asking, but I'll do my best;
If it is a matter of how images are displayed in greenstone then I use:
format DocumentText "<img width=435 src=[ImgURL]><br>[dc.Creator][dc.Title]"
It is a simplified example, but it displays all images at the set
width, for a nice consistant look.
If you are talking about resizing the images when you create the
collection, then this can be done with setting 'Screenviewsize' for
Are either of these suggestions suitable for your problem?
