9.3.3 Methodologies for SEA

SEA methodologies are not well developed. However, nearly all the tasks involved in SEA are similar to those in project-level EIA. As with project EIA, the skill of the assessor comes to bear in selecting an appropriate mixture from different approaches, tools, and techniques available. The key considerations that assessors should bear in mind in designing their approach to SEA are listed in Table 9.6.
