Create subgroups, assign each a theme and ask them to develop a flow chart with as much detail as possible (suggested themes: unregulated use of toxic chemicals, movement of the poor to marginal lands, movement of the poor to urban areas, improved standards of education, choice of technology: polluting and non-polluting, lack of economic incentives for preserving unique ecosystems). Ask a representative of each group to present their chart to the whole group by drawing it on a flip chart.
