Power differentials in decision-making

Although broad participation may be reflected in the number of participants involved in decision-making processes, not everyone has equal power in the process. It is important to be sensitive to power differentials and make special efforts to listen to those most often excluded. Ask participants to give examples of inequitable power relations and identify the issues created by such inequity.
