The international GATE workshop "AT in Post Modern Times", held in Frankfurt in May 1992 provided a forum for taking stock and discussing the outlook for Appropriate Technology. The papers presented at the conference, which was attended by over 60 participants from 31 countries, are to be published in a GATE book. The following excerpts from lectures and working papers reflect the amplitude of the discussion.
