Rationale: Demonstrate transpiration by covering a plant with a plastic bag and showing condensation inside the bag.

Materials:

potted plant (peanut or Pervenche de Madagascar)
water
clear plastic bag
string
sunny day

Procedure:

1. Cover the plant with the plastic bag and tie at the base of the stem with the string.
2. Water the plant.
3. Put the plant in the sun.
4. After five minutes, water will condense on the inside of the bag.
