Country offices must provide its port officers or clearing
and forwarding agents with instructions, in writing, on when, where and how much
food is to be dispatched from the port. Food cannot move from the port without
this authorization. |
Depending on the size and nature of a program, country offices
may require port staff to send them daily dispatch reports, via fax, telex or
radio. Country offices must determine who will be responsible for notifying
receiving warehouses of estimated times of arrival.
Dispatch reports, at a minimum, should include:
· The amount of food
dispatched
· Waybill numbers
· Transporters' names
· Truck and trailer numbers and numbers of rail
cars
· Destination and
