April Allderdice is an independent consultant who managed a Fulbright and Echoing Green-funded project on micro-financing for renewable energy at the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh (Chapter 7).

Joy Clancy is a Senior Lecturer with the Technology and Development Group at the University of Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands (Chapter 2).

Ugo Farinelli is former director for energy at the Italian Agency for New Technology, Energy and Environment (ENEA), in Rome, Italy (Chapter 6).

Gail Karlsson is an international environmental lawyer and consultant currently working with the Energy and Atmosphere Programme (EAP), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New York, USA (Chapter 2).

Sivan Kartha is an Associate Scientist with the Stockholm Environmental Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, USA (Chapter 4).
