| Leadership and Influence - Instructor Guide (FEMA-EMI, 1991, 281 p.) |
A classroom suitable for the number of participants (20-32), including provision for AV equipment and a large screen, is required. A flipchart and/or chalkboard also is required. A podium/lectern with instructor name plates is a nice addition. Be sure there are enough video monitors for the number of students attending (at least one 25" monitor for every 25 viewers, placed close to the audience on high carts or stands).
The classroom should be arranged with tables for groups of six to eight participants or in any arrangement suitable for maximum interaction with instructors and each other.
If possible, breakout rooms for small group work are beneficial. Three breakout rooms in addition to the large classroom where two groups can work are enough (they may not be needed with smaller classes.
