In the diagram of the model set out m the previous chapter the objectives and the base-line situation are positioned at the same level. They are equal elements in the process of lesson planning. First attention is paid to the objectives. The issue of objectives not only forms the point of departure for any process of learning but is furthermore point of reference for all decisions leading to sensible and manageable didactic behaviour
