3.1 Impacts of extraction of natural resources

The provision of raw materials to the industry may have considerable environmental impacts. Separate booklets have been developed for the following resources sectors:

No. 1 Agriculture.
No. 2 Animal husbandry.
No. 3 Forestry.
No. 4 Fisheries.
No. 5 Aquaculture.
No. 7 Water supply, drainage and irrigation.
No. 10 Mining activities.
No. 14 Oil and gas.

In addition a booklet has been made concerning the supply of energy for hydropower.

No. 6 Hydropower development.

If extraction of natural resources is a part of the industrial project, this should be included in the initial assessment of the project. Refer to the mentioned booklets for more information.
