ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Robert Repetto is Vice President and Senior Economist at the World Resources Institute and Director of the Program in Economics and Population. Formerly, he was an Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Public Health at Harvard University and a member of the economics faculty at Harvard's Center for Population Studies.

Duncan Austin is a Research Analyst in the Program in Economics and Population. Prior to joining WRI, he worked as an Economist in the Department of the Environment in the United Kingdom.
