ALCOM is on line again

Finally ALCOM has it's own telephone lines. This is such a relief after almost a year without telecommunications. To think of all the lost messages is quite painful. We are grateful to FAO Sub- Regional Office which acted as the receptionist for ALCOMs messages during this our ‘dark phase.’

The beauty of being able to communicate with the outside world is incredible, it's like we have just invented the telephone again!

We are now able to respond quikly and cheaply by E-mail to all our library users. We can search on the Internet for any aquaculture/fisheries request by our users for the price of a local telephone call.We can reach more than 250 libraries on the net.

Further more, our quaterly newsletter ALCOM News is on line. We plan to publish all our other subsquent documents electronically.
