"Asian Fish Technology" is intended to provide information to encourage networking among the research institutes and university departments involved in the field of post-harvest fish technology in the region. This site is prepared by the Fisheries Department of the FAO, Regional Office for Asia and The Pacific, Bangkok, Thailand and by the Fish Utilization and Marketing Service of the FAO, HQ in Rome, Italy. It was initially set up with support from the European Union through the STD3 programme (Life Sciences and Technologies for Developing Countries 3)

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) :

The FAO homepage on the Internet. It provides a number of sources of fishery information. The Asian Fish Technology home page is part of this. There is also access to some fisheries software for produced in FAO. The FAOSTAT Fisheries Database is accessible here.
