Human demands on plant genetic resources are increasing and changing. A wide range of genetic resources are available in situ, on-farm and ex-situ. Traditional and modern knowledge and technology will build on this genetic heritage with the need to nurture, improve and sustain food security.

Welcome to the Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) Group, where we focus on policy development, guidance and technical assistance to countries for conservation and sustainable utilization of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA).
