Subject [greenstone-users] Square Brackets in MARC data

There's a list of conditional operators for testing metadata values in format strings here:

If the value you are testing for is a square bracket, you may need to escape it as you would a regular expression \[ , so the string doesn't interpret it as the beginning of a named metadata element. Alternatively maybe quotation marks would work for that purpose. Just a couple of things to try.
