Hi Tim,

I use Greenstone's XML metadata files. I've put an example (and
explanation) on-line at:

I also posted a copy of the collect.cfg file, with the files it was
generated from.


Breifly, I think using metadata.xml files is more efficient than using
HTML wrappers because you can assign metadata to sets of files, and
recursively through subdirectories. However, you still have to include
all that information somewhere, and you need some way of creating and
modifying XML files (fortunately, simple XML editors are increasingly
common).
