That's where I ended up installing it and it now works fine. After posting
this yesterday, I waded through the exportcol.pl script that was generating
the error and confirmed that the path it was seeking was indeed
$GS_HOME/bin/windows.

However, "greenstonebinwindows" on the website is confusing, not only
because of the missing slashes, but because the "greenstone" part of the
path can be named whatever the users wishes at install time. It may be
worthwhile to change the path listed on the website to indicate this.
