Hi,

well... it depends on the type of videos you want to serve. I think
there is a plugin for realmedia video files in the 2.83. For other types
you can use the unknown plugin and specify your own type (ie the file
extension like .mpg or .avi)
With the upcoming 2.84 version (rc2 for now) there is another video
plugin for ogv files. ogv is the open format developed by the Xiph
Foundation (http://www.xiph.org). This plugin works with 2.83 too and is
able to extract some metadata saved in the ogv files (like title,
artist, date ...). There is one dependency for this plugin to run :
mediainfo must be installed (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net)
