John, Greenstone has its own web server in case you don´t have one. If
you export a collection to cd, you only need to run "server.exe"
application, and that´s all. 1025 is the port where the Greenstone embed
webserver listen for calls !!!

Asunto: [greenstone-users] Greenstone help!

Hello there,

I have a small question concerning greenstone.I have tried to export a
collection on a cd.And i realised that after installing it in another
machine, it launches the application in a internet explorer with an
of type "http://localhost:1025/gsdl?uq=4127125"
Does it then mean that this can only be installe in a machine with a
websever running. How can i get around it.Co is the person viwing the
collection might not have a web server installed.

Thanks you
