Subject | [greenstone-users] Greenstone 3 behaves nondeterministic |
Hi all,
I am developing an java-based http-Client for greenstone3. But so far i encountered some strange behaviour of greenstone. Strange 1) Sometimes tomcat or greenstone crashes. I the FAQ is a note that this could be caused by Norton Antivirus. I deactivated Norton, but it still happens sometimes. Strange 2) The librarian interface reports a broken collection in the next session. I always had to delete the collection an create it again. Strange 3) If i import html-files, there is no text displayed, when i view these files in the library. This corresponds to this question in the faq http://www.greenstone.org/cgi-bin/library?e=p-en-faq-utfZz-8&a=p&p=faqbuild#24 but i disabled Norton Antivirus. The content of the document is in the collections xml-Files in the contentNodes, but it is not displayed. If i import the files in Greenstone 2, they are displayed correctly. If i convert the collection from gs2 to gs3 it is not displayed anymore. It is also not displayed building it with gs3. My System: JDK 1.4.x; WinXP Pro, Zonealarm (deactivated), Norton Antivirus (deactivated) Thanks
