There was a bug in 2.82rc which shows up if you install Greenstone into
a place with spaces in the path, as you have done.

Please download
http://www.cs.waikato.ac.nz/~ak19/gs282_UpdatedPerlBuildScripts.zip and
extract the files into your bin/script directory. (The files need to go
directly into this folder, not in a subfolder)

I think this should fix your problem.
