Hi

Greenstone can process Word and PDF documents and search the text inside
them. During the collection build, these files are converted to HTML,
and then the text in the HTML is indexed.

There was a bug to do with encoding in an older version of greenstone,
but that has been fixed in the latest release (I think).

What version of Greenstone are you using? The current version is 2.63,
and we will be releasing 2.70 in the next day or two.
Please download either of these and try again.

Regards,
Katherine
